Emerge: Shining a Light on Self Criticism
If you sometimes feel held back by self-criticism, this free 90-minute workshop offers a creative space to:
Explore inner critic in a new, creative way
Reflect on self-compassion
Reconnect with your inner strength and use your imagination
Step a little closer to being unapologetically yourself
Gently explore your inner world through gentle breath, movement, guided imagery and creative mark-making. You don’t need any art experience just curiosity and a willingness to show up as you are.
At the end of our time together, my hope is that you step away with something that's meaningful to you, whether that’s an image, a phrase or simply the experience of having taken time for yourself


This is an introductory, creative workshop, no prior experience needed.
You’ll:
Ground & Connect
Visualise & Imagine
Move & Explore: Movement and mark-making
Reflect: Capture your insights through journaling and creative exercises
All exercises are invitation-based.
A4/A3 paper/notebook/sketch book - Coloured pencils or felt tip pens
Whatever helps you feel comfortable, like movement friendly clothes
A water bottle/warm drink/blanket items of comfort and hydration
An open mind and willingness to be creative
Created with those in mind who feels restricted and held back by self-criticism, who want to explore their creativity and intuition

Hello I'm Zoe,
founder of Rebellious Rue. I create spaces with women in mind, spaces to be fully themselves, to nurture resilience, presence, and a holistic connection between body and mind. My hope is to support you in expressing yourself freely, trusting your intuition, and reconnecting with your creativity and self-compassion, without shrinking your freedom to explore or be seen.
When I’m not running workshops, you’ll often find me painting with acrylics, walking in the woods with my dog Eddie or exploring breathwork and creative practices myself.
